The South Bay Bicycle Master Plan continued its impressive winning streak as three more cities have now approved the plan, each with unanimous votes.

On Tuesday, October 26 the Hermosa Beach City Council included the Bicycle Master Plan in a historic night of progressive environmental and health initiatives passed.  In addition to approving the bike plan, Hermosa passed the Vitality City Livability Plan and bans on Styrofoam and smoking in public.  A strong contingent of SBBC supporters in their white t-shirts turned out and spoke on behalf of the plan.

Just last night in the City of Lawndale the City Council expressed their enthusiasm for the plan as they voted to approve it and again, SBBC supporters in their white t-shirts were impossible to ignore in the audience.

And this evening, the City Council of Gardena looked out at a sea of white shirt clad SBBC supporters and wasted no time in bringing the Bicycle Master Plan to a vote and giving it their thumbs up.  An entire audience row of SBBC supporters in their Coalition logo t-shirts was on hand to applaud the Council’s approval.

The South Bay Bicycle Master Plan has now been approved in the first 5 of 7 cities it’s been voted on.  Next Tuesday, November 15, it’s the Manhattan Beach City Council’s turn and it’s YOUR opportunity to be part of this historic march to our 7 for 7 run of success.  We hope to see you there.
