Our consultant will be hosting a 1 hour training session on Saturday, October 30th at 11:00 in Redondo Beach (exact location TBA). You will learn how to conduct a valid bike count from the experts at Alta Planning + Design. You’ll then be ready to go out into the field and conduct these very important counts.

The bike counts themselves will be conducted on Thursday, November 4th from 3:00-6:00pm and Saturday, November 6th from 10:30am-1:30pm. Locations will be assigned to volunteers at the October 30th training and will span our seven cities: El Segundo, Gardena, Hermosa Beach, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance.

We ask that you commit to the training session and one shift. Please follow the link to sign up. http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/11023456340771940100

About Bike Counts: A bike count study simply consists of a counter (YOU) located at an intersection, heavily traveled arterial or even a landmark. This counter will do exactly what the name implies: count bikes! A given bike count session will last three hours. This data will help inform progressive planning for our cities.

Thank you!
