How the Metro’s extension fits into bike planning: Creating a more bike-friendly South Bay means incorporating all modes of transportation.  If you’ve visited Portland, New York or any number of European cities you know that an abundance of public transportation are more easily navigated by bike.  Multiple forms of connectivity allow pedestrians and cyclists to navigate large regions more conveniently, help decrease automobile dependence and ultimately make adding bike infrastructure easier.  Not to mention, a rail line provides a perfect location for an adjacent bike lane.
